This organization shall provide assistance to those in need in our community. We shall work in concert with other established charities within our county to help them more effectively provide their services to the sick, the hungry, the homeless and the abused. Each year we will provide one or more scholarships to Sandhills Community College to be awarded based on financial need to candidate(s) who are working to continue his/her higher education.
We realize that by coming together as a group we can have a greater impact on meeting the needs of our ever-growing community. Working side by side we can foster a continuation of friendships begun in Women of the Pines while being of service to those in need.
Meetings are held on the third (3rd) Wednesday, September through May, with the exception of the months in which holidays may interfere, or for other extenuating circumstances. Meetings include guest speakers and a luncheon.
