Women of the Pines hosted their Third Annual Health Symposium - Love your whole body - "A journey to a healthier lifestyle" on March 7th, at the Pinehurst Village Hall. The moderator was Dr. Karen D. Sullivan, a board-certified Neuropsychologist who founded Pinehurst Neuropsychology in 2013. This was Dr. Sullivan’s third year of helping Women of the Pines with our health symposium.
Our panel of doctors were Dr. W. Miller Johnstone III who currently practices as a concierge medicine physician and provides geriatric medicine consultations for FirstHealth of the Carolinas and Dr. Meredith M. Stanton, who is certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. She currently serves as the medical director for outpatient behavioral services at FirstHealth as well as Dr. Andrew Coggin, who is board certified in Ophthalmology and specializes in surgical eye procedures at Pinehurst Surgical Center. Each doctor spoke briefly about their background and individual practice's and then fielded questions from the audience. We thank them for their commitment to the health and well-being of the people of Moore County and for volunteering to speak at our health symposium.
